The best nudist beaches of the Costa Brava
L’illa Roja (Begur)
Its most characteristic element is the huge orange rock that rises on the line of the sea. This nudist beach in Costa Brava is 120 meters long and 20 meters wide, approximately. Its sand is reddish and you can reach it by walking down the Camino de Ronda. Apart from coming here to relax or watch the sunset, you can also snorkel; the seabed that surrounds the rock is beautiful. It does not have services like showers or bars, but it is very clean though.
Cala Nans (Cadaqués)

You can reach this beach by walking from Cadaqués, among others, which is a few kilometers away. Along the way, you will see a beautiful lighthouse from the 19th century, a building that is much loved by locals and photographed by tourists, which is known as Faro de Calanans. From here you have some beautiful views of Port Lligat and Cadaqués. The Nans cove is far from any villages and remains almost virgin. Its base is of rock and around it, there are other little coves that you will like to discover.
Cap de Planes (Palamós)
The Cap de Planes Beach is one of the most beautiful nudist beaches of the Costa Brava. It measures 175 meters and its seabed is very rocky, so it would be recommendable to bring slippers. It doesn’t have services, but it does have a beautiful perspective of the Formigues Islands, which are 1 kilometer offshore and which make up one of the most beloved archipelagos for those who practice scuba diving. There are also beautiful views of Calella de Palafrugell and Llafranc. It is reached by the Camino de Ronda that goes from the beach of El Castell to Calella de Palafrugell.
Playa de Sa Boadella (Lloret de Mar)
It is located in an area called La Selva, on the outskirts of the town of Lloret de Mar. Its sand is thick and its length is about 250 meters. It has surveillance and rescue services, also showers and a bar, and the Blue Flag. It is reached by the GI-682 road (Blanes-Lloret) and there is also parking nearby.
This cove is separated into two parts by Sa Roca des Mig. The two halves have different names: Sa Cova and Sa Boadella, but Sa Cova is almost not used. It is on the right side where naturism is practiced.
Cala Estreta (Palamós)
Here nudism is not practiced exclusively, it is also common to see swimmers with bathing suits or clothes. It is small and surrounded by vegetation and cliffs. You get there by taking a walk of about 30 minutes; even so, it is usually quite busy in high season. It is not so usual, but there are also tourists who visit it sailing.
Cala Murtra (Roses)
This nudist beach in Costa Brava is one of the best in Costa Brava. It is far from all the tourist centers of the region and remains practically virgin. It is about 7 kilometers from Roses but, to get there you have to go on foot, leaving the car in an area higher than the beach which is also unpaved. The descent to the water will cost about 20 minutes, but it is very easy. Since it is not sandy and has pebbles, you should wear flip flops to walk comfortably. It has a length of 150 meters and a low level of occupation.
These are some of the nudist beaches of the Costa Brava, remote, quiet and relaxing, perfect for naturists and for those who seek a spot with privacy in this touristy area.
