New hand luggage rules Ryanair

Since January 15 of this year, the new restrictions in terms of the cabin luggage of Ryanair has begun. Because too many people were bringing two bags, they made some new rules in order to not have cabin problems before boarding, and thus to prevent delays. Read the changes carefully, in order to not face extra charges without realising!

Non-Priority

If you don’t want to book priority, you can only bring one small bag. This small bag should not exceed 35x20x20cm and should easily fit under the seat in front of you – for example, a handbag or laptop. However, you can bring a 10kg suitcase or bag, but this one will be tagged at the gate and put into the hold for free. This suitcase should no exceed 55x40x20cm. If you don’t follow these rules, they can charge you £50 per item.

Priority

When you book priority + 2 cabin bags, you are able to bring one 10kg bag and a small bag like stated before. It will cost you only £5 if you book it directly when booking your flights. In this way you’ll be able to bring both bags with you, this means that no bag has to be put into the hold.

In addition, they lowered the price for the check-in of a bag from £35 to £25 and increased the weight allowance from 15kg to 20kg.

Don’t forget these changes before booking your next flight with Ryanair, it will save you the stress during your travel!
