The rustic cottage makes traditional dishes and has a scarce furniture that gives you suspicion, but it turns out differently. The white furnishings, the low ceilings and a touch of country house style are to blame for the cosy atmosphere. If you expect traditional fare and traditional tapas, you will not get it here, but something better: salad bouquet with vegetables of the season, fish variations and home-made dressings, steaks in every imaginable preparation and exquisite dishes such as duck or salmon. Dinner at Restaurant Oscar is probably the Wow experience of your vacation! Since 1976, it is one of the best family restaurants in Calpe, more precisely located in the small district Maryvilla in the mountains, spoils you with delicious dishes; grilled vegetables, fish and meat and of course several variations of the famous paella. You pay about 17€ for a main course and 25€ for the grill menu or gourmet menu, not exactly the cheapest address, but definitely the tastiest. The very special highlight, especially for the children, there is a pool on the huge terrace of the restaurant, which is free for guests.
