Catalonia
If you have decided to visit Catalonia with your family, then you should definitely visit Roses: a city in Girona located in the northern part of the Gulf of Roses, south of the Cape of Creus and near the border of France. In addition, it is located between two Catalan natural parks: Aiguamolls Natural Park and Cap de Creus Natural Park, two beautiful places where you can get lost in nature. Another Catalan destination ideal for a family holiday is Cambrils, which is located in the province of Tarragona. A place where you can have a great time with the family while visiting each of the following places: the beach, the harbour, the old town and the public parks. All well equipped with a flat area, swings, little trains, bars and restaurants, so that all ages can enjoy themselves.
Salou is the last destination in Catalonia we recommend for a family holiday. One of the main reasons why Salou is an important family vacation destination is Port Aventura. Located in a large recreational centre called Mediterranean Universal where you will also find a water park with various restaurants and hotels. In addition, in Salou you will find the most famous beaches of the Costa Dorada: playa Levante, playa Ponent, playa dels Capellans … Take a look and decide which beach is your favourite!
If you are looking for a adventurous activity during your holiday in Salou, the route of the Camino de Ronda is perfect for you and your family. This route has a length of 5.5 kilometres running along the coast, from the Pilons area through the tourist centre to Replanells in Cap Salou. It is an easily accessible walking path with a breathtaking landscape which makes it a perfect activity for the whole family.
Andalusia

Do you like skiing? The ski season in the Sierra Nevada begins in November with the most sun hours of all ski arenas in Europe. You’ll find Sierra Nevada next to the Mirlo Blanco recreation area, where you can also enjoy a ride on a Russian sled. In addition, there is never a lack of snow, there are hundreds of snow cannons that provide the slopes with fresh snow. Children between 5 and 12 years old can also enjoy a new activity in the Sierra Nevada: snow bikes. And in the same area, in the days of the high season, they can also enjoy the snow slides.
Province of Valencia
The capital, Valencia, is one of the main destinations where you can enjoy a family holiday. The great climate and the famous gastronomy ensure that you can enjoy this city almost every day of the year. The historic centre is full of characteristic buildings such as the central market (el Mercado central), the market square (la Lonja) and the town hall square (la plaza del Ayuntamiento). Besides, when we look at the coast, we will find kilometres of sandy beaches.
When you are looking for something more educational, the City of Arts and Sciences (La Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias) is definitely something for you: futuristic buildings, various cinemas and interactive museums where children – and not so children – will enjoy this interactive site.
Benidorm is another good option if you are looking for a suitable destination for a family holiday in Spain. This city distinguishes itself through the variety of restaurants, leisure, pubs and beach bars. Galicia
In Galicia you will find hundreds of places which you can discover, the one more beautiful than the other. But today we focus on one destination: the Cies islands. These islands are located in Vigo, accessible by a small boat or ferry and are definitely worth a visit because of its white sandy beaches and turquoise waters. Canary Islands
What activities can you do, for example, on the island Tenerife? Besides swimming and sunbathing on the beautiful beaches, you can also climb the Giants cliffs known as the wall of hell and the result of volcanic activity on the island. In addition, you can walk through the Anaga mountains if you like to enjoy the beautiful nature reserve on Tenerife and walk the trails that lead to beautiful bays with black sand. Furthermore, of course you cannot miss a visit to el Teide, the third highest active volcano in the world, and with a height of 3716 meters it is the largest in Spain. With a cable car you have the opportunity to visit the volcano at a height of 3,555 meters!
Balearic Islands
