Strasbourg
The Christmas market of Strasbourg it’s called Christkindelsmärik in Alsatian, is one of the largest in Europe. It’s spread out in many places through the historic heart of Strasbourg. More than 300 wooden stalls are waiting for you in the streets of the city. You can find crafts, culinary specialties but also many DIY workshops. You will love the Strasbourg market for the variety of products that it offers, but also for the beauty of the city and its Xmas decoration. It is understandable why the market is visited by more than 2 million visitors every year.

Kaysersberg
Entering in the authentic Kaysersberg Christmas market you will fall in love with the warm atmosphere of the wooden stands located in the historic center of the city. The highlight of Kaysersberg’s Christmas market is that the all the craftsmen are selected by the members of the association “Christmas in Kaysersberg”, which is a guarantee of quality. People of different ages will have no trouble in finding their happiness on the market stalls. Indeed, you will find toys, crafts, decorative items but also regional specialties such as gingerbread or cinnamon mulled wine.

Colmar
After Strasbourg, the Christmas market in Colmar is the second largest in France. In Colmar, there are several small Christmas markets, precisely six in total. They are distributed throughout the different historic districts of the city. Due to a large number of visitors to the market each year, we recommend that you go there during the week to better enjoy the stands. Among crafts, gastronomy, ceramics, Christmas decorations, your loves ones will be all happy with their Christmas presents.

Obernai
The market in Obernai is known as the “Christmas Gastronomy Market in Alsace”. It’s, therefore, no surprise that you will find delicious local specialties on the market stalls. Mulled wine, beer, sauerkraut, pretzels, gugelhupf, Alsace’s wine and much more. The Obernai Christmas market is a gourmet’s paradise. But besides being a tastebuds temptation, Obernai is also a seduction for the eyesight. Indeed you will be amazed by the illuminations and natural decorations that combines perfectly with the Renaissance architecture of the city.

Mulhouse
The Mulhouse Christmas market stands out from other markets of Alsace thanks to its well-known focal point at every Christmas: every year an Xmas fabric is created in honor to the rich artistic past of the Mulhouse weavers.
The fabrics are used mainly to decorate the facades and the pedestrian streets, thus give a very colorful image to the city. Visiting the market is a fantastic idea to go out and immerse yourself in a pure Alsatian atmosphere under the rhythm of Christmas carols.

Riquewihr
If you haven’t heard of Riquewihr, we strongly advise you to visit it. The town is one of the most beautiful in Alsace. During Christmas, the town is even more magical with its many lights and garlands that make every corner to look like a fairytale.
You will have the opportunity to shop until you drop but also to try the Alsatian specialties. Traditional treats or the famous mulled wine are always a great idea. You will also have the chance to hear traditional songs and to witness street performances. In Riquewihr, the magic of Christmas and good humor are in the hearts of all locals.

Neuf-Brisach
The beautiful city designed by Vauban is an incredible tourist destination. Its ramparts are also listed as UNESCO World Heritage. The Christmas market of Neuf-Brisach is a unique event in France, indeed, it will take you back in time until the 1700s, during the time of Vauban.
Exhibitors and comedians are all dressed in authentic costumes. You will stroll around stands reminiscing of the trade in the past. So you can advise with blacksmiths or apple esters before trying one of the specialties. In the meantime, your children will marvel at the animal exposure around the farm. In addition, nearly 120 merchants offer their diversity of products.
