Transport from Alicante airport to Benidorm
There are a few options you can choose if you are traveling from Alicante airport to Benidorm. You can always take a taxi, of course, but this would be the most expensive way of transport since it will cost you 70€ more or less. These are the best options:
How to get from Alicante airport to Benidorm by Bus
The company that organizes transfers from Alicante airport to Benidorm, and also to Murcia, Villajoyosa, Altea or Calpe, is called Alsa. They will bring you to Benidorm and take you back to the airport for 17.95€ – a single ticket is 9.45€. Children under the age of 3 can travel for free, and you get a 30% discount for children between 4 and 12 years old. It is possible to bring 2 bags weighing up to 30 kg. In addition, it’s possible to book your tickets online so you don’t have to worry about paying your tickets on the bus.
Flybus is another company that offers transfer services. You can book a normal shuttle or a speedy shuttle. Tickets for both shuttles can be bought online, the normal one-way ticket is 5.92€ per person and the speedy shuttle from 37.51€ per person.
How to get from Alicante airport to Benidorm by Train
Besides the buses, it is also possible to travel from Alicante airport to Benidorm by train. The nearest train station can be reached by bus line C6, from company Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV), that will bring you to the Luceros train station. From there you can take train line 1 that goes to Benidorm.
How to get from Alicante airport to Benidorm by Tram
There are also tram-trains that go to Benidorm. However, they are not located near Alicante airport so you have to travel to Alicante city first. If you decide to visit Alicante before traveling further to Benidorm, you have the option to take one of the tram-trains that connects different coastal towns on the Costa Blanca. The L1 station connects the Alicante-Luceros station in the city with Benidorm, this journey takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes. If you would like to travel further to the towns such as Altea, Calpe or Denia, you should take L9 in Benidorm.
